Athletics Canada is pleased to announce the return of the Canadian Indoor Championships March 26-27  in Saint John, New Brunswick. The event, for U16, U18 and U20 athletes, has not been held since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted in coordination with the Saint John Reds Track and Field Club, the Championship will take place at Irving Oil Field House.

On February 9th, the provincial government announced that New Brunswick will move to Level 1 of the winter plan to manage COVID-19 on Friday, Feb. 18, at 11:59 p.m. The official news release can be found here. Saint John and Irving Field House will serve as the mecca of indoor athletics competition in the winter of 2022, also hosting the Canadian Masters Athletics Track and Field Championships (March 25-26) and the U Sports Track and Field Championships (Mar. 31st – Apr. 2nd).
